About me
Hi, everyone! Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Milan Menezes. I'm 24 years old and I am a Cloud Solutions Engineer at Google.
I was born and brought up in Mysore. My family consists of me and my parents. My parents hail from Coorg. My father is a businessman and my mother is a government school teacher.
Since I don't click a lot of pictures of myself, the one able is a picture of me and my parents on their 25th anniversary.
All of my education happened in Mysore. I completed my graduation from The National Institute of Engineering in CSE in 2019. I interned as a Full Stack Developer in a startup called Fanlytiks and worked as a Software Engineer in Shell for a year before joining Google. I like Web Development and my favorite programming language is Python.
In my free time, I like to watch TV series. I love sitcoms, I watch Friends, BBT, HIMYM, B99, etc repeatedly to laugh a little. I play CSGO on my PC and I play the keyboard in the church choir every Sunday.
Why I started this blog?
I wanted to share my experiences, dreams, passion for tech and innovation, and some interesting stories from my life.
From my college days, I wanted to write technical blog posts but I was always procrastinating. When you work with tech, you always end up googling for docs and quickstarts for your tech stack or architecture or deployment. Most of the times you find the answers on either the official documentation or StackOverflow or Medium, but there were times when I could not find the solutions anywhere and I had to figure it out on my own by a lot of research, trial & error, and a lot of sleepless nights. Since this took a lot of effort, I wanted to write about my findings so that others could benefit from them in the future.
